Kathmanud, 7 January : Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba is at catch -22 as district presidents from various 47 districts have demanded to withdraw his unilateral decision to increase the number party’s central departments and defer the party’s 13th general convention slated for February 2021.
A meeting of the district working committee presidents close to the rival faction led by Ram Chandra Paudel and Krishna Sitoula held at the NC’s headquarters in Sanepa yesterday made the demand to rectify his previous move. A CWC meeting on December 28 that was boycotted by the rival faction had made the decision to bring amendments to some of the provisions of the party statute.
