
Kathmandu, 8 November: The Nepal Children’s Organization has sought policy level provision for equal level of education for the children. Organizing a news conference on Saturday, the Organization demanded that the government implement such a provision for rich and poor or all children through policy level intervention by formulating laws.
Moreover, the Organization has urged the federal and local governments for the proper management for the children with special needs including those mentally retarded and physically challenged. As shared in the news conference, the Organization is to take initiatives for family reunion as a part of child-friendly concept and making review of the child-care homes for their essential reforms. Organization’s Chair Bidhya Upadhyay promised to take move for an apt management of the adults who are getting patronage in such homes. On the occasion, she also unveiled the White Paper of the Organization outlining future and programmes.
