Kathmandu, 8 November: Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party chairman KP Sharma Oli has opined that now the leadership should be ready for handing over leadership to the new generation in the party.
In an interview to the AP-1 Television on Saturday evening, PM Oli expressed surprise on the war for leadership by those who have time and again led the party and the government.
Those, who have led the party for decades and who have already become the PM, are again showing interests to bag the same post, which is surprising, PM Oli pointed out to them who have developed a front to topple down PM Oli.
“We should be ready to hand over power to the next generation who are running around 60s”, Oli said.
PM Oli declined the blame for encouraging groupism and initiating split in the party.
Oli said that he will not allow splitting the party.
