Biratnagar, February 2
Three persons died when a bus and microbus collided head-on in Inaruwa of Sunsari district in eastern Nepal on Sunday morning. Seven others have sustained injuries.
The bus heading towards the east (from Baglung) had hit the microbus heading towards the west (Kathmandu) at Pitribana road section along the East-West Highway this morning.
The driver of the microbus (Ba 5 Kha 3157) and two passengers died on the spot, according to SP Bhim Dahal, the chief of the Province 2 Traffic Police Office. The victims, two men and one woman, are yet to be identified.
The injured are being rescued to send to nearby health facilities. Further investigation is underway.
