Parliamentary panel approves three ambassadors’ nomination

Kathmandu, 11 September: The Federal Parliament Hearing Committee has approved the names of the three candidates proposed for ambassadorial post for Germany, Belgium and Pakistan.

The Committee unanimously approved Joint-Secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gehendra Rajbhandari as Ambassador to Belgium and European Union, Tapas Adhikari for Pakistan and Ramkaji Khadka for Germany.

The constitutional provision has it that the proposed candidates once approved by the Committee would be appointed by the President after the recommendation of the government.
