Oli-Dahal ceasefire

Kathmandu, 8 July: After different rounds of one-on-one meetings between Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli and another party chairman Pushpakamal Dahal, both the leaders have developed an understanding to keep the party united by paving the way for better understanding among the leaderships.

On Tuesday also, both the leaders held one-on-one meeting at Baluatar, PM’s official residence. The Tuesday meeting was cordial, however, both the leaders have not given up their stance.

It is learnt that Oli has wished to hand over party chairman’s sole responsibility to Dahal, whereas, Dahal has demanded Oli’s resignation from the PM’s post.

If both the leaders reach an agreement for running the party by one leader and running the government by another leader, the present crisis in the party will end.
