Locals protest against conversion of Quarantine into an Isolation center in Bensisahar

Province 4, Lamjung, Besishahar, Ward 7 - #Covid-19, #Governance, On Monday, the Chief District Officer-lead Crisis Management Center( CSMC) decided to convert the Sahaji’s Urban Development Development Office building into an Isolation Centre located in Lamjung, Besishasar Municipality 7. Locals blocked the vehicle and staged demonstration the whole day on Friday, July 17 when insulation materials for the Isolation were being transported. The police charged the locals with batons for protesting. The locals felt their demands of proper management of waste coming out of the quarantine centre were not addressed and now the hall being converted into quarantine without addressing the old demands and consulting the locals was unjust.
