Elderly man arrested on charge of raping teen

Province 3, Sindhupalchok, Helambu, Ward 1 - #GBV, #Children’sRights, Police have arrested Bahadur Tamang (60) of Helambu rural municipality-1 on 12 July 2020 from his own residence in accusation of raping a 16-year-old girl, informed inspector Thal Bahadur Tamang of Area Police Office Melamchi INSEC’s representative.The victim was raped on 9 July 2020 at a local guest house. The victim’s father filed a complaint at the Area Police Office on 10 July 2020.The accused was arrested with the help of the locals as he was hiding.
