Agreement to find out point of agreement
Kathmandu, 6 July: Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party chairman KP Sharma Oli and another party chairman Pushpakamal Dahal held meeting at Baluatar Sunday afternoon. The meeting was concluded with an agreement to find out a point of agreement on ongoing dispute between the Oli camp and Madhav Nepal and Dahal camp.
The meeting was also attended by party leaders Bishnu Poudel, Ishwor Pokhrel and Shankar Pokhrel from the Oli camp and Janardan Sharma Pravakar and Barshaman Pun from Nepal-Dahal camp.
At the meeting, Dahal, performing flexibility on the previous stance, asked Oli to quit the PM’s post, whereas, Oli informed that he is not going to quit the PM’s post but may give responsibility to Dahal to run the party.
The two party chairmen agreed not to intensify the dispute further and find a point of agreement.
The two leaders decided to hold talks today (Monday) earlier to the standing committee meeting.
