Kathmandu, 20 June : A Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to issue citizenship to any woman marrying a Nepali man only seven years after marriage. The Secretariat meeting that concluded awhile ago decided to this effect.
The State Affairs Committee of the Federal Parliament on Wednesday had instructed the government to forge consensus on the citizenship bill within five days. It too had discussed on the proposal to provide citizenship to any woman marrying a Nepali man only seven years after marriage.
